The model is about 18 inches long and 13.5 inches wide.

I have 2 oz mixed up for the base coat color. That's a huge amount for the smaller WWII fighters I've done. But, I've never done anything this scale, and am concerned even 2oz might not be enough. Anyone have experience with larger models and how far the paint goes?
I'll be airbrushing on the paint with an Iwata HP-CS.

When I painted my 1/500 scale Space Battleship Yamato, I went through about 5-7ml of paint (airbrushing)
