Do pub door staff in the UK have any special powers that a civilian doesn't have?
I was just wondering why they usually choose big burly tough looking blokes, as if they don't have additional powers, and can't legally punch someone without facing assault charges, why do they need to be tough blokes? Surely a seven stone weakling could do the same job?
What is the point in having them if they can't legally retaliate when someone starts a fight?
they have to be able to physically remove some one from the pub if need be... and also for the intimidation factor
