Skin colour from Jo Sonja paints?

I am going to attempt a portrait of my 2yr old daughter and normally use Jo Sonja paints. Im looking for recommendations on a good skin colour. I can usually look at a colour and say it is such such and such but when I look at her skin I have no idea. Any suggestions? Im happy to use a different brand if need be

Skin is made up of many different colors. Someone with a rosy tint may have a greenish undertone (among other colors!) just as someone with a more olive complexion (like me) has a reddish undertone, People with almost porcelain "white" skin (like Nicole Kidman, for example) can have pale blue, mauve, light yellow in their skin.
Google artists like Jenny Saville and Lucien Freud, whose portraits are vibrant, dramatic and positively amazing. That will give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
No one -- not even an infant -- has "one tone" skin. The more you really study it, the more "colors" you will see.
Plus, putting a rosy tint over a green underground gives a very different and much more interesting effect than simply laying on a single "block" of color.
I have never heard of "Jo Sonja paints". Are they water-based? Oils? What? (I use Windsor & Newton oils; they're excellent.)
